Calm Heart Meditation

If the holiday season has got you stressed out, or if you’re just looking for a healthy way to process your emotions, this kundalini meditation is a quick and easy tool you can practice.

I love this meditation to help me ground into my body and the present, so as to tune in to my feelings and emotions. This in turn helps me to understand the source and nature of my emotions and gain perspective. Through this introspection, I’m able to see a positive path forward from upset, unrest and conflict.

According to 3HO, a kundalini organization based in the teachings of Yogi Bhajan, this meditation is a powerful heart and lung strengthener. Emotionally, it aids in gaining clear perception in our relationships. It is also perfect for beginners and one can grow with it increasing the practice in time.

Liver Health Meditation

On the topic of ‘medical meditations’, here’s one to promote liver health.

The liver has over 600 physiological functions, including filtering blood from the digestive tract, breaking down fats we ingest, and detoxing our bodies

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which posits that organs and glands can harbor emotional excess or repression, the liver is the organ where unresolved anger lives. All the more reasons to befriend our liver and treat it with respect, right?

Here is the meditation to promote healthy liver function, and it only takes 4 minutes to practice
